The Norwegian Royal Court has declared a period of official mourning until October 9, one month after the funeral of King Harald.
During this time, all official events are cancelled, with a few exceptions. The exceptions include cabinet meetings, the opening of Parliament, and selected audiences, according to a statement from the Royal Court.
As part of the mourning period, both the royal family and court employees will wear dark clothing or uniforms with a black mourning band.
