The head of a Syrian research center says the country has entered a more complex phase than its civil war: the shift from conflict to peacebuilding.
Taha Elgazi, General Director of the Syrian Center for Education and Research, described the current moment as a genuine opening for change—one that did not exist in previous years.
Speaking about Syria’s future, Elgazi noted that while the chance for stability is real, the situation remains highly fragile.
He explained that the nation is moving beyond the era of full-scale war, but warned that this new stage brings its own set of challenges.
