Russia’s strikes destroy 90% of Ukraine’s modern storage, minister says.

Ukraine has lost 90% of its modern commercial storage capacity to Russian attacks, reshaping how retailers move and stock goods, according to Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotskyi. Speaking on national television, Vysotskyi said the destruction has not created a famine risk. However, he warned that shoppers should expect fewer product choices in stores. The minister explained that logistics networks are being redrawn to work around the damaged facilities. Retailers are now relying on older warehouses, smaller hubs, and direct farm-to-store deliveries to keep shelves stocked. While basic food supplies remain secure, the loss of high-capacity storage means a narrower range of goods will reach consumers, especially perishable items. Vysotskyi did not give a timeline for rebuilding the destroyed capacity.
