Israeli military vehicles entered a village in southern Syria on Sunday, according to Syrian state media. A force of five vehicles moved into Ruwayhina village in the Quneitra countryside. The troops established a temporary checkpoint in the village center, in front of the local mosque, before withdrawing. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) described the action as an "incursion" by "Israeli occupation forces." The Israeli military has not commented on the report. The region of Quneitra, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, has seen similar incidents in the past.
