Three Japanese F-2A fighter jets will travel to India next month for a joint exercise, marking the first-ever visit by Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) aircraft to the country. The jets will fly via Okinawa and Thailand to participate in Veer Guardian 26, a bilateral drill with the Indian Air Force. The U.S. Air Force will support the mission, providing aerial refueling and other logistics. The deployment underscores deepening defense ties between Tokyo and New Delhi amid shared regional security concerns.
