Trump Waves Green Flag, Kicks Off IndyCar Race in DC
President Donald Trump launched the Freedom 250 IndyCar race in Washington DC on Saturday, waving the green flag after a brief struggle with how to hold it. His wife, Melania Trump, and Command Sgt Maj Matt Williams helped him get it right. Trump then waved the flag "fast and furious," and the race began. The event marked the latest step in Trump’s takeover of the nation’s capital. Since returning to Washington, he has deployed the National Guard, damaged the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, demolished the East Wing of the White House, and run the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts into the ground. His face now adorns the Department of Justice, and he has plans for a triumphal arch. Kyle Kirkwood won the race.
