King Charles Announces Major Reduction in Cancer Treatment

King Charles III has shared positive news about his health. In a statement from Buckingham Palace, the monarch said his cancer treatment is being scaled back. The King credited an early diagnosis and what he called "effective intervention" for the improvement. He also thanked his medical team and said following "doctors' orders" was key. "I am able to share the good news that... my own schedule of cancer treatment can be reduced in the new year," the statement said. A palace spokesperson added that the King has "responded exceptionally well" to his treatment plan. King Charles, 75, first announced his cancer diagnosis in February. He has continued to perform some official duties while undergoing treatment. The palace has not specified the type of cancer.
