Workers at Eti Gümüş and Doruk Madencilik, both subsidiaries of Yıldızlar SSS Holding, entered a new phase of their protest on Thursday evening after police intervened and made mass arrests in Ankara.
The workers had been holding a sit-in in the capital to demand unpaid wages and severance compensation. The police crackdown marks a sharp escalation in the ongoing dispute.
