Ukrainian drones strike Russian refinery 1,530 km from border, Kyiv says
Ukraine’s military confirmed it struck the Lukoil-operated Perm refinery in a long-range drone attack overnight, hitting a site more than 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine’s northern border. The General Staff said the same wave of drones also targeted a military airfield in Volgograd Oblast and caused unspecified results in the Black Sea region. The Perm refinery is one of Russia’s largest fuel production facilities. The strike is part of Kyiv’s ongoing campaign to disrupt Russian fuel supplies and logistics that support the invasion. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly used domestically developed drones to reach targets deep inside Russian territory, despite Moscow’s air defenses. No casualties or damage details were immediately reported. Russian authorities have not commented on the attack.
