KYIV, Ukraine — A pair of Russian drone strikes hit a shopping centre in the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on Friday, killing at least 15 people and wounding dozens more, local authorities said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of using a “double-tap” tactic, in which a second strike targets emergency workers who arrive to help the first attack’s victims. According to officials, the second drone hit the mall roughly 30 minutes after the first.
The attack is the latest in a series of Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure amid the ongoing war. Rescue operations continued into the evening, with officials warning the death toll could rise.
