Paul Lim has become the oldest player ever to win a match at the PDC World Darts Championship. The Singaporean star, who will turn 72 next month, defeated Jeffrey de Graaf 3-1.
This victory breaks his own previous record, which he set in 2020. On that famous night, Lim beat Luke Humphries, who is now the world number two.
Lim's win sets up a second-round rematch with Humphries. Humphries earned his place by beating Ted Evetts 3-1, hitting eight maximum 180 scores.
The veteran now hopes for a repeat of his 2020 triumph when he faces the top player again.
