Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says a key agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will strengthen Syria's unity and stability.
Speaking to journalists on December 13, Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey's commitment to security and prosperity for Syria. He stated that implementing the March 10 agreement with the SDF would reinforce Syria's territorial integrity and support a prosperous future.
The SDF is a U.S.-backed alliance in northeastern Syria led by Kurdish groups. Turkey views the main Kurdish faction as a terrorist organization. This agreement marks a significant shift in their strained relations.
