JERUSALEM — Israel’s airstrike on Tuesday against the Syrian airfield Abu al-Duhur was a warning to the Syrian government not to allow Turkey to establish air bases there, officials said. The bombing was condemned by U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack, who handles the White House’s contacts with the Syrian regime.
