Nigeria’s voter roll to hit 100 million ahead of 2027 polls

Nigeria’s electoral body, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), expects the country’s voter register to surpass 100 million people once its latest registration drive is fully processed. The commission said the current register already holds more than 93 million voters. With the conclusion of its nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, INEC projects that the final number will cross the 100 million mark.
