The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) closely monitored the Osun State governorship election held on August 15, 2026.
Using its Election Analysis Centre and a team of observers deployed across the state, the group tracked the entire voting process. Their oversight began when the polls opened and continued through voting, ballot counting, result collation, and the final declaration of the winner.
The observation mission aims to ensure transparency and accuracy in the electoral process.
