Moscow and Kyiv each reported civilian deaths from fresh attacks on Tuesday, as both sides continued to exchange long-range strikes.
Russia said nine people were killed on its territory within the past 24 hours, while Ukrainian officials reported four deaths in the same period.
The figures could not be independently verified. The strikes mark the latest escalation in a conflict that has shown no sign of de-escalation.
Local authorities in both countries urged residents to remain in shelters as air raid warnings sounded across several regions.
