Sudan’s Women Demand Safe, Inclusive Talks to End the War

Sudanese feminist leaders and civil society activists are calling for a broader and safer political dialogue to end the country’s ongoing war. Speaking from Nairobi and Amsterdam, they urged that any future Sudanese-Sudanese negotiations must include women, young people, and civil society groups. The activists stressed that genuine guarantees are needed to protect participants and provide a secure space for open discussion. Without these safeguards, they argue, the peace process will not be credible or lasting.
