Three months after the boxing star's death, those closest to him are navigating a painful future.
“Of course I remember,” says Billy Graham quietly. The former trainer pushes back his straw hat. “I can remember everything.”
Graham trained Ricky Hatton for 45 of the fighter's 48 professional bouts. He recalls a more innocent time in the late 1990s. They would sit together on the steps outside their first gym in Salford. They were not yet known by their boxing nicknames, 'The Preacher' and 'The Hitman'. They were simply Billy and Ricky.
Now, Graham and Hatton's inner circle, including friend Jane Couch and brother Matthew, face a shared grief. They are remembering the man behind the fame and searching for hope.
