Yemen’s Military Vows ‘Harsh Response’ After Houthi Missiles Hit Key Port

The Yemeni armed forces have issued a stern warning to Houthi rebels, vowing a “harsh and deterrent” response to a missile attack on a vital civilian port. Colonel Majid al-Nuzaili, the official spokesman for the Yemeni military, said the attack on the port of Mokha—which was struck by six ballistic missiles—will not go unpunished. In a statement, al-Nuzaili stressed that the armed forces will not allow the Houthi militia to turn civilian infrastructure and the interests of the Yemeni people into legitimate targets.
