Israeli Strike Kills Seven in Southern Lebanon, Deadliest Since June

Lebanese state media reported that an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon killed seven people early Saturday, marking the highest death toll in the area since a June ceasefire reduced hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. The strike hit a home on the outskirts of the village of Ansar, according to the country’s National News Agency (NNA). The agency said the attack also wounded three others. NNA described the incident as an escalation of Israeli attacks on the south, stating that “enemy warplanes” launched the strike on the residential building.
