Turkish MP: Framework Law Is Just the Beginning, Not the End

Saruhan Oluç, a lawmaker from the pro-Kurdish DEM Party, said the new "framework law" is not a final step but the start of further legal changes. He listed new regulations needed in counter-terrorism law, prison rules, and local government legislation. Oluç also called for a wider constitutional debate on education in one's mother tongue, local democracy, and identity rights.
