The mayor of Qusra, a village in the occupied West Bank, said Israeli troops have ordered Palestinian families to evacuate their homes. According to the mayor, soldiers are now using some of the seized houses as military barracks.
The troops reportedly went door-to-door, telling residents to leave immediately. The mayor did not specify how many families were affected or where they were told to go.
Israeli authorities have not yet commented on the situation in Qusra. The village has seen repeated tensions between settlers and local Palestinians in recent months.
