NATO jets shoot down drone over Latvia near Russian border

NATO fighter jets shot down a drone in Latvian airspace, according to the Latvian military, as reported by Reuters. Latvia issued an air danger warning overnight in the eastern part of the country, near the border with Russia and Belarus. The warning has since been lifted. Separately, Finland, which also shares a border with Russia, has introduced temporary restrictions on air and sea traffic in the eastern Gulf of Finland, the Finnish military said.
