Ukraine Sinks or Damages Four Russian Warships in One Night at Novorossiysk
In a major blow to Moscow's naval power, Ukraine struck four Russian warships in a single night at the port of Novorossiysk. The attack targeted vessels from Russia's Black Sea Fleet, which had relocated there after abandoning its previous base in Sevastopol. Among the ships hit were two frigates equipped to carry Kalibr cruise missiles, as well as one missile ship and one patrol vessel. The strike took place at the port, which had become a key shelter for the fleet following its withdrawal from Crimea. The operation marks one of the most significant Ukrainian attacks on Russian naval assets in a single engagement. The extent of the damage to the vessels has not been fully disclosed, but the loss of such ships could weaken Russia's ability to launch long-range missile strikes from the sea.
