Pittsburgh Steelers star T.J. Watt required emergency surgery for a partially collapsed lung. The injury occurred as a complication from a "dry needling" procedure, according to his brother, former NFL player J.J. Watt.
Dry needling is a treatment where thin needles are inserted into tight muscles to relieve pain. The Steelers linebacker is now recovering after what his brother called a successful surgery.
The team has not yet provided a timeline for Watt's return to play. The 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is a key player for the Steelers.
