Türkiye will continue to act as a mediator and constructive partner in Libya, according to the country’s top diplomat.
“We will continue our constructive role here, as well as our role as a mediator,” said Hakan Fidan, Türkiye’s foreign minister.
His remarks underline Ankara’s ongoing commitment to helping resolve the conflict in the North African nation. Türkiye has previously supported the internationally recognized government in Tripoli and has called for a political solution to end years of instability.
Fidan did not provide specific details on upcoming steps, but his statement signals that Türkiye intends to remain actively engaged in Libyan affairs. The minister’s comments come amid continued international efforts to stabilize the country and organize elections.
