Wildfires: Firefighters Can’t Handle This Crisis Alone

Many fires start from careless littering, but heat and drought make them spread faster. Europe is heating up faster than any other continent, partly because it sits near the melting Arctic. Experts, including UN climate chief Simon Stiell, say these fires should push governments to act. Cutting emissions is urgent, but so is better emergency planning. The message is clear: this is not a problem for firefighters alone. Political leaders must step up and lead the response.
