Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Corina Machado says Venezuela's government is collapsing and has announced she will return to the country. The opposition leader made the statement in an interview with "Face the Nation."
Machado accused the administration of President Nicolás Maduro of becoming "even more violent." She claims this aggression is a sign the leadership knows "their days are numbered."
"The criminal regime is falling apart," Machado told moderator Margaret Brennan.
The activist did not specify a date for her planned return to Venezuela. She has been a leading figure opposing Maduro's government for years.
The full interview will air Sunday on "Face the Nation."
