Israeli military forces have entered several villages in the countryside of Quneitra, Syria. The incursions occurred on December 12.
During the operations, the forces released two civilians they had detained earlier. The individuals were taken at a checkpoint between the towns of Umm Batna and Al-Shaab.
The information was reported by Syria's state news agency, SANA. The agency refers to the Israeli military as "occupation forces." Israel has not commented on the reported incursions.
Quneitra is located in southwestern Syria, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The area has seen repeated military activity.
