Germany has formally accused Russia of a major cyberattack and election interference.
On Friday, the German foreign ministry stated that its security services uncovered evidence of Russian responsibility for two separate actions.
The first is a cyberattack in August that targeted German air traffic control. The second is a campaign to spread disinformation ahead of the country's federal election in February.
A ministry spokesperson said the cyberattack was "intolerable and unacceptable," especially amid Russia's war in Ukraine.
The Russian embassy in Berlin has denied all charges. It called the accusations "absolutely unfounded."
