Polish authorities have detained 130 people who crossed illegally from Belarus. They entered through a newly discovered tunnel.
The tunnel was found near Narewka village in Poland's Podlasie region. Border Guard officials believe more than 180 people total used this passage.
A major search operation is now underway. Officers are trying to find the approximately 50 migrants who have not yet been caught.
The incident highlights ongoing tensions on the Poland-Belarus border. In recent years, this area has seen repeated attempts at irregular migration. Poland accuses the Belarusian government of organizing these crossings, a claim Belarus denies.
