A new documentary shows Taylor Swift breaking down over a terrorist threat that forced her to cancel concerts. The moment comes in "Taylor Swift: The End of an Era," a six-part Disney+ series.
The series goes behind the scenes of her massive Eras Tour. Fans knew a documentary was likely, but not what it would contain.
In the first episode, Swift is backstage at London's Wembley Stadium. She talks with friend Ed Sheeran hours before a show. She reveals Disney's film crew was set to start filming in Vienna, Austria, in August 2023.
Those shows were cancelled because of an Islamic State plot to bomb the concert. "I didn’t even get to go," Swift tells Sheeran. "I was on the plane headed there."
She struggles to finish her sentence, visibly upset. The scene shows a personal side to the global star, adding unexpected emotion to the tour documentary.
