Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. provided a positive update on a stadium security guard he accidentally injured during Sunday's game.
The collision occurred on the sideline in the fourth quarter. Pittman, running at full speed to catch a pass, could not avoid the guard standing out of bounds. The violent impact knocked the guard to the ground.
Medical staff attended to the guard immediately, and he was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. After the Colts' victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittman sought an update.
The receiver shared that he learned the guard was "doing good" and had avoided any major injuries. Pittman expressed his relief and well-wishes for the man's quick recovery.
Such accidental sideline collisions are an occasional hazard in the fast-paced NFL, where players often exit the field at high speed.
