Palestine’s Supreme Fatwa Council has condemned the burning of two mosques in the occupied West Bank, calling the attacks a “systematic crime” that provokes Muslims worldwide.
The council issued the statement after fires destroyed or damaged places of worship in the cities of Nablus and Tulkarm. It accused Israeli settlers of carrying out the arsons.
“These attacks on houses of worship are a deliberate, systematic crime,” the council said. It warned that such actions risk inflaming religious tensions across the region.
The statement did not provide details on casualties or the extent of the damage. The council urged international bodies to intervene and hold the perpetrators accountable.
