Russia kills 8, wounds dozens in massive overnight attack on Ukraine

Russian forces launched a massive overnight assault on Ukraine, firing 74 missiles and 284 drones, the Ukrainian air force reported Thursday. The strikes killed at least eight people and wounded more than a dozen others across the country, including in the capital Kyiv and the city of Poltava. Ukrainian authorities renewed urgent calls for allies to send air defense supplies.
