Iran: "We Will Never Let US Decide When to Fight"

Iran on Monday rejected peace talks with the United States, vowing to continue its defense "for as long as our interests require." The statement came after President Donald Trump paused the US bombing campaign following nearly two weeks of strikes. Esmaeil Baghaei, the Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson, made the remarks during a televised press conference. "We will never allow the United States to determine the timing of war," Baghaei said, signaling Tehran’s refusal to accept US conditions for de-escalation. The US paused its military campaign, but Iran insists it will not negotiate under pressure. The standoff continues with no clear resolution in sight.
