Syria’s Agriculture Minister, Basil al-Sweidan, met on Sunday in Damascus with Daniel al-Baroudi, owner of the Brazilian company American Swiss. The firm specializes in raising cattle, sheep, and poultry, as well as producing animal feed.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed investment opportunities in the facilities of the General Organization for Cattle, which falls under the ministry’s authority. These facilities are located across several Syrian provinces.
Minister al-Sweidan stressed the need to prepare technical and economic studies for the project. He also called for defining all aspects of the venture and identifying the companies that will carry out the work. The goal is to reopen the cattle facilities using global standards.
