A top Turkish official announced that a major new law is almost ready. Ayşegül Doğan stated that the so-called "Framework Law" is in its final stage of preparation. She noted that the draft has not yet been sent to parliament.
Doğan also called for more careful language from the media. She said the press should use a constructive tone. "We need to show more courage," she said. "We must also be careful to use a more inclusive, more embracing, and more constructive language."
