Starting this Friday, the United States will impose new tariffs on imports from 60 trading partners. The measures cover 99 percent of all goods entering the country. They replace a temporary 10 percent global tariff introduced 150 days ago. That earlier plan was struck down by the Supreme Court.
The administration says the latest tariffs target goods produced with forced labor. The move signals a major shift in U.S. trade policy.
