Wales Drought: Driest July in 200 Years

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) declared a drought in north Wales and the Upper Severn region on Thursday. The agency cited record-low river flows, repeated heatwaves, and widespread wildfires as the cause. All other parts of Wales are now experiencing prolonged dry conditions. This month is on track to be the driest July in nearly 200 years.
