Ukraine launched twin drone strikes deep inside Russia on Tuesday night, hitting oil facilities in Ulyanovsk and Bashkortostan. Both sites are now burning.
The strikes reached about 800 kilometers and more than 1,300 kilometers into Russian territory, according to reports. The attack targeted energy infrastructure far from the front lines.
The operation marks one of the deepest Ukrainian strikes inside Russia since the war began. Officials in the affected regions have not yet confirmed the full extent of the damage.
