Lithuania has raised its alert level against a potential Russian attack. The country's president confirmed reports that Russia could test NATO's unity by striking the Baltics or Poland.
"We do not know how political rationality works in Russia, so we cannot rule this out," said Johan Norberg, an analyst at the Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI.
The warning comes as Moscow seeks a military victory. Experts say Russia may target new areas to pressure the alliance.
