China Tightens Grip on Fuel Exports as Iran War Fears Grow
Beijing has lifted restrictions on refined fuel exports this month due to high global oil prices and large national reserves. However, it has also introduced new compliance rules for refiners. This cautious move aims to protect domestic stockpiles, according to three sources familiar with the matter. “With the interim truce between Washington and Tehran having collapsed, Beijing has adopted a more cautious stance on easing curbs for fuel exports,” a person familiar with the matter said.
