EU lawmakers land in Beijing to ease trade tensions

A European Parliament delegation has arrived in China for a three-day visit to calm rising tensions. The trip comes as trade disputes grow, global uncertainty increases, and the EU expands import restrictions. The eight-member group, led by committee chairman David McAllister, landed in Beijing on Tuesday. This is the first visit by the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs to China. The delegation will travel to Beijing and Shanghai. The trip marks a return to official exchanges, which had been suspended.
