Bulgarian Government Falls After Weeks of Protests

Bulgaria's government has resigned after less than a year in power. The decision follows major public protests against corruption. Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced the resignation on Thursday. It came just before parliament was set to vote on a no-confidence motion. The opposition had filed that motion against his government. The mass protests, driven by public anger over corruption, ultimately forced the government's collapse.
