A Swiss man has been charged with murdering his wife, a former Miss Switzerland finalist, in a case involving extreme mutilation.
Prosecutors allege the husband killed his 32-year-old wife at their home. After her death, he is accused of decapitating her, surgically removing her womb, and using a blender to puree parts of her body.
The woman, identified by Swiss media as former 2013 pageant finalist Alina B., was reported missing in December. Her husband was arrested shortly after.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive. The suspect remains in custody and faces a potential life sentence if convicted. The case has shocked the nation.
