Qatar has formally stated that Iranian attacks on its territory represent a "flagrant violation" of its national sovereignty. The Qatari government described the actions as a direct threat to its security and an unacceptable escalation that endangers regional stability.
In two identical letters sent Monday to the United Nations and the Security Council, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Iranian attacks. The ministry called the strikes a "serious and unacceptable escalation" that poses a direct threat to Qatar’s safety and to regional peace.
