Since October 7, 2023, Israeli bombings have given Gaza a devastating record. The World Health Organization reports that the territory now has the highest number of amputee children per capita in the world.
These children are trying to rebuild their lives. They face forced displacement and a severe lack of medical care in a devastated territory. One child explained, "His prosthesis hurts, but he endures it to show that he isn't different."
