FIFA Unveils 2026 World Cup Awards: Golden Ball and Golden Boot Return

FIFA has announced the official list of awards for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament, set to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature the traditional individual honors. The Golden Ball will go to the tournament's best player. The Golden Boot will be awarded to the top goal scorer. The Golden Glove will recognize the best goalkeeper. FIFA will also give a Young Player Award to the best player under 21 years old. The Fair Play Award will honor the team with the best sportsmanship record. An additional award, the Goal of the Tournament, will celebrate the most impressive goal. All awards will be decided by FIFA's technical study group. The winners will be announced after the final match in July 2026.
