Russian deserters in Germany: 'Sent back to die if we lose asylum'

Almost all asylum applications from Russian soldiers who fled the war in Ukraine are being rejected by German authorities. A young deserter told DW and Russian-language media outlet Astra that he fears deportation would mean a death sentence on the front lines.
